HOW TO

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Ensure that the foot has been accurately cleaned and is free of any debris from bedding, gravel or mud.

2. Insert the front extremity of the foot in the boot, widening the lateral edges of the boot with your fingers.

3. Use the palm of your hand to tap firmly on the front extremity of the boot, so as to fit it as closely as possible, to the surface of the hoof.

4. With the help of a hoof pick that you will insert in the holes, place the horse shoe extremities in their allocated space, making leverage with the tip of the hoof pick on each of the boot's extremities.

5. Before tightening the straps walk the horse for a few steps and make sure that the "BOSANA" boot has a proper fitting on the Foot.

6. After having unlatched it, remove the boot by alternately pulling first one, and then the other, of the lateral flaps.

7. At the end of the horse's work, wash the “BOSANA" boot and wet and grease your horse's hoofs.

Important: The Bosana Boot should fit tight around the hoof and should require effort to put on. After you fit the Bosana Boot and the horse has had a chance to move around, make sure the Bosana Boot is still fitted squarely and securely on the hoof.

Prepare the hoof: Thoroughly clean hoof with hoof pick.

For flexibility in cold weather, keep the Bosana Boot in a heated room or soak in hot water before fitting on hoof.

Remove the Bosana Boot when not required. If it is necessary to leave them on for a week or longer, treat the hoof before putting on the Bosana Boot. An application of antiseptic hoof dressing, or "Koppertox" around the frog will help prevent bacterial or thrush buildup.
